this year to make it as a international sprint hurdler.
Following the sudden death of my mother in Oct 2005, I decided to knuckle
down and get a coach, start training properly and really go for it. It made me
realise life really is too short, she always said I could make it but I never
really believed her...a month after my mum passed away (Nov 05) I decided to get
a coach (Ian Grant @ Brunel Uni) train like a proper athlete and go for it. This
winter I gained my 1st international and got called up to represent England. I
smashed my indoor PB again and ran 7.88 in the national champs/European trials
heats. Unfortunately I picked up a hip injury which ruled me out for most of
2007 and required keyhole surgery in Aug 07, but I'm more hungry now than ever, and
with new outdoor season due to kick off in May, I am focused and training hard
to burst into the UK top 3 and gain my 1st full Great Britain cap. Watch this space!!!
